What Are Titan Legends?
How did we get here? Well thereby hangs a tale...
It was September 1st, 2003. Labor Day in Canada (or Canadia, as my "good friend" Zia INSISTS our name is, grrrr). I had just attended the last day of the Canadian National Exhibition, or the Ex, a three-week festival held in my current home of Toronto. I arrived home at around 6:20 and decided to watch some TV. I turned on a Canadian channel known as YTV, Youth Television. Since it was Labor Day, the channel was having a special in which all their new shows and returning old shows would debut their first episode.
And at 7:00 PM, Teen Titans came on.
The show had actually debuted nearly two months beforehand on the American Cartoon Network, but since the Cartoon Network was only available to satellite owners, the appearance of it on YTV was the first time I got to see it. And I have to admit, I liked it. True, it had too many "anime quirks", but the dialogue was good, the fight scenes were good, and the animation was good. So I watched another episode. And another.
Perhaps I would have gotten involved anyway, but if there was one thing that triggered what happened, it was my older brother. Who had also seen the show, and greatly enjoyed singing the theme song at me to annoy me. And my brother is a horrible singer. Believe it. I have witnesses.
It drove me nuts. I wanted revenge.
Now, my brother had once written the wonderful horrible (but horrible 9/10th's of the time) "art" of fanfiction, but real life events had greatly sapped his creative energies. I too had dabbled it in some, my biggest work being an interactive battle fanfic in the small anime series Medabots that died when it was deleted by Fanfiction.net for breaking the rules of no interactive fanfiction. Teen Titans was a new frontier that I thought I might want to explore. But how?
My brother's annoying actions gave me the vessel.
You see, he had created a fictional character called Noel Collins, codename Savior. He had planned for Savior to be a wholly original creation, existing in his own world. He even had basics of a storyline and supporting cast sketched out. And he at the time really wanted Savior to stand on his own.
So I stole him and started my first Teen Titans fanfic, which was supposed to be short. After all, it was a revenge joke.
Except I kind of liked writing in this world (even though it would take me a while to clear the hurdles).
And my bastard of a brother didn't get mad at my work. He liked it as well.
And so it went from there. Black and White grew on itself and became a story. And it was followed by another. And another. And fans, finding themselves attached to my version of the world DC had placed on the Cartoon Network, started telling their own stories from the particular mix I made of these ingredients.
Three years later, we've made our own little "fanon-canon", a world built up from the building blocks I took from the show. Many new heroes, villains, and supporting characters have sprang from this melting pot. And under my hand the Titans have battled horror villains, parodied Buffy episodes, and had books-long battles with enemies of all shapes, sizes, motivations, and powers.
Maybe it's not all that creative. Or original. Maybe some would call me a hack, or worse. Maybe I am one.
But in the end, I hold no overly high opinions of myself. I'd just like to think, in the messy and immature world of fanfiction, I can rise above the flaws of the "genre" and hopefully tell some entertaining stories. And that maybe someday that the work I do here will allow me to go beyond my bad habits of borrowing from other sources and dragging my work out to insane lengths. Oh yes, and juggling way too many balls at once.
You probably know by now if this website is for you. If not, you're free to leave. If you want to insult, mock, or flame me, just pause and think for a moment of who comes out looking worse from such an action.
And if you're a new fan, an old friend, or just curious, well, maybe I can give you a little entertainment, and maybe, even if the ideas and concepts are not my own, make you think.
And if not, I tried.
I am Legend Maker. Perhaps my name is pretentious. Just like my character (my brother has essentially surrendered him to me. For now) Savior.
This is the website my friends and I have made from the building blocks of the Teen Titans show.
They are, in our hands, more then teenagers or superheroes. They are not just called great.
They are called LEGENDS.
Enjoy.
-Legend Maker
And now, about us personally!
1. Legend Maker
Name: Chrissie Brynn
Location: Canadia (YES, CANADIA!)
Planned Stories: "School's Out", "The Zeus Gauntlet", and Boogeymen IV
Website Contribution: Fanfiction, Planned Interactive Pages
Biography: Of course you know who SHE is. She is known as Legend Maker, the person who wrote most of these wonderful fanfics for you. But what many of you don't know is that she is a furry pink elf that plans to take over the world with her army of killer gnomes and leprechauns!
....ok, I lied. But it sounds good, doesn't it? Of course it didn't. That's why SHE writes the stories while I manage the site and make bad jokes.
Anyway, her Titan is Savior, who personifies her style: calm, sometimes dramatic, political, and serious. She's the master of suspense and drama in our little group. She's working on romantics and humor as well. She's written the most out of the trio, and is one of the main planners for the storylines (though Jed and BobCat contribute a LOT). of course, she sometimes goes off track with her insanely obscure references and inside jokes, so we have to pull her back to reality every now and then. She takes after her brother (who we all know, but since he's being a prick, you don't know him unless he wants you to. Bah, what a baby!), who also writes a lot, so if you see an author with a similar style and feel, hey, you may have found him!
2. BobCat
Name: RESTRICTED
Location: U.S.A.
Planned Stories: Unknown
Website Contribution: Fanfiction, Planned Humor Pages
Biography: BobCat is another author from FF.hell who had been abducted from the dreaded monster called COLLEGE! He began writing The Epic of Gauntlet and parts of Here Comes Tomorrow, but since has not had the chance to write more. He's also very accomplished in other sections of fanfiction and writes original humor. His Titan is Gauntlet, who pretty much sums up BobCat's style: random, funny, and light-hearted with the occasional dark/serious moment. We await his return patiently so we can resume laughing our asses off at his humor.
3. Jedi-And
Name: RESTRICTED
Location: United Kingdom
Planned Stories: Unknown
Website Contribution: Fanfiction, Main Gallery, Profile Drawings
Biography: Jed is an author from FF.hell as well. He's written Flashing Lights and Sounds, which is a sequel to Wings of the Eagles. He's the least experienced with writing in the trio, but he sure doesn't show it. His Titan is Scalpel, who also personifies his style: likable, calm, can be tense, sometimes scary, and controversial. He's very good at description and making people in the story likeable or giving off a Uriah-Heep-feel. LM and BobCat do the same, but all of Jed's characters just have that extra charm or "BLECK" feel to them.
He's also the artist of the group and has made MANY drawings of our favorite new Titans. Visit his gallery! Now! NOW!
5. Slothsoul
Name: John G.
Location: U.S.A.
Recommended Stories: "Via Negativa", "Children of a Lesser God" ... "Unseen Attractions" XD
Planned Stories: "Fruits of an Author's Get-together", possible sequel to Via Negativa
Website Contribution: Fanfiction, icons, chibis, profiles.
Biography: The everlasting punchline of the Legends Team, Prisionero always seems to speak what's on his mind without giving it much thought, nor caring about the consequences afterwards. Aside from Blunt, Prisionero always seems to be relaxed, goofy and without any worry in mind. This often leads to LM's many attempts to find a way to disturb him greatly, and while she stumbled upon some that did the trick, Pris quickly adapted and moved on, much to her annoyance. Pris enjoys joining up with Zia and annoying LM endlessly, which they've both proved to be very good at together. One of said annoyances was Unseen Attractions, which could very well be his greatest accomplishment. LM also happens to be his girlfriend. They are expecting a girl (XD). And yes, that last part was a joke.
His titan is Metatron, who is a contrast to the hero world because even through his powers, Metatron reacts to dangerous situations like a normal person would. Meaning he actually reacts like a sane human being, something rare. Whether this quirk of his will be worked out once he hardens to the 'job' like Savior did remains to be seen.
4. Ultra Sonic 007
Name: RESTRICTED Alias: Jonathon Redley
Location: Planet Earth
Recommended Stories: "Hand in Hand"
Planned Stories: "The Legend Episodes" (Title may change)
Website Contribution: Random Code Contributor Guy
Biography: Greetings. I am a writer who found the Legendverse in 2005. Since then, I wrote one Legendverse story called Hand in Hand. In it, I unintentionally explained how the Legendverse came to be...so bonus points for me. :3
I'm a humor kind of person...and in case none of you have figured it out by now, my favorite Titan is Gauntlet. Hands down. BobCat has actually called me his friend! Guess that's what I get for portraying him positively in Hand in Hand. MORE BONUS POINTS. :3
I actually write other stories aside from Teen Titans. A seuqel to FFX-2 the game, a revision of the second season of the Digimon anime, a Naruto story that branches off after chapter 238...stuff like that. But alas, that's not Titans stuff, so I can't go in-depth about it here. Still...go read my work.
My only character contribution is Oblivion. He's to Hand in Hand what the Lord was to Black and white, AKA the big bad guy who MUST BE BEATEN. Except Oblivion's powers allowed for situations like a pirate vs. ninja battle. So MORE BONUS POINTS JUST BECAUSE OF THAT. :3
For some reason, people say I and Legend Maker are a couple. *glares at Zia* I do not know how Prisionero feels. Although Zia does think I could teach Legend Maker a thing or two about humor...since we all know girls aren't funny. Especially during their periods...speaking of periods, it's time I leave. Toodles! *runs from the angry females of the Legends Team* IT WAS JUST A JOKE!
(Unfortunately for Ultra Sonic 007, he fell into a pit of boiling tar. That was the end of him.)

Biography:That'd be me. I'm the one with abosolutely no talent and/or writing ability. The others would disagree a bit, but that's because they're too kind to admit that I just suck. But I make up in that area by having a job and a little experience with making websites. A little. But hey, I've got money! No complaining!
I suppose you could say my character is Eyesore, though she's no Titan and there's no direct comparison to me. She's a bit of a homage to me, though it could come off very wrong if you don't know me. I'm probably the closest you can get to a medium between Zia and Marissa. I'm not nice, but I can seem nice if you catch me in a good or hyper mood. Unfortunately for Eyesore, she's in a coma, and I'm making a website. Whoo! Anyway, back to the actual me.
I'm gonna be the one paying for this site and all the lil do-dads we add to it. I love these guys' writing, and it does sicken me to see them get censored by a website that encourages free speech. But just because I like them doesn't mean I can dedicate my life to this site. It may work out, it may not. Only time will tell.
7. Other Contributors
(There's quite a few, but I won't have their bios up until they send them in. This will be the spot for any of the contributors who aren't part of the so called "Legends Team" but still helped out quite a bit. )
Name: Darth Chaltab
Position: Fan Author
Recommended Stories: "Legacy of the Tamaranian", "Maternal Instinct" and "Colors" for Titans fans, "To Charm a Ghost" and "Time Phantom: The DeLorean Chronicles" for Danny Phantom and/or Back to the Future fans.
Planned Stories: "Deus Ex Machina" - the story of the fabled Near Apocalypse of '09 mentioned in Batman Beyond episode "Out of the Past".
Website Contribution: Fan stories and a few odd profiles
Biography: Greetings. I discovered Fanfiction.net in late 2004, and started writing in the Legendsverse in 2005, with the story "Time Phantom: The DeLorean Chronicles", a semi-official sequel to "Danny's Inferno", which is really excellent by the way. And I'm not just saying that because Legend Maker is dangling an anvil over my head.
Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a control freak, so rather than officially joining the Legends team I began my own Titans universe, which I named in likeness to this one, Teen Titans Legacy. It follows the series much more closely but I'm not above taking a few liberties with back story and history here and there. Right now I'm working on my first official Titan Legends fic, Maternal Instinct, which should be hosted at this site eventually. Also, if you don't read my stories and give me paragraphs and paragraphs of feedback, the world will end. Honest. It's a proven scientific fact, I swear.
More to come soon!
